Brief about Gunjan Dave: Gunjan Dave is a transformative telecom and technology leader with over 35 years of experience at the forefront of India’s telecommunications evolution, from electromechanical switches to advanced 5G networks. Known for her ability to bridge vision with execution, she combines technical expertise with strategic foresight, fostering collaboration, trust, and future-ready solutions. Gunjan has held senior leadership roles including Director General Telecom and Member (Technology) at the Department of Telecommunications (DoT), where she oversaw national telecom services, license compliance, cyber security, spectrum policy, and rural connectivity. Her career spans MTNL leadership roles from Assistant Divisional Engineer to Principal General Manager, where she managed broadband and FTTH rollouts, GSM networks, IT systems, civil and electrical projects, customer operations, and India’s advanced telecom training center (CETTM). She championed cybersecurity frameworks, AI-led threat detection, digital KYC, public awareness on mobile tower safety, ESG initiatives including solar-powered towers, and diversity programs for youth, women, and differently-abled communities. Gunjan’s expertise spans telecom policy, regulatory compliance, spectrum management, ICT infrastructure, IT systems, and operational excellence. She holds a B.E. in Electronics & Communications and an M.Tech in Computer Science & Communications from IIT Roorkee, and an MBA in Finance from JBIMS, Mumbai. Her board and committee experience includes the Digital Communications Commission (DCC), national policy and spectrum committees, and cross-ministerial committees promoting telecom research, standards, innovation, and IPR development. With a proven track record in aligning policy, technology, and stakeholder interests, Gunjan is well positioned to guide organizations on digital transformation, risk management, compliance, and sustainable growth.
