The Root Chakra (Muladhara) is located at the base of our spine, our pelvic floor, our lower three vertebrae, and our legs and feet. Create a solid foundation helps us feel a sense of safety and security. When our Root Chakra is out of balance we may feel anxiety and fear. This short Root Chakra Asana includes a set of yoga poses to connect to your root and ground down. Start by changing Lam and feel the connection to your pelvic floor and the bottom of your spine. Flow through child’s pose, malasana, uttanasana, dandasana, paschimottonasana, malasana, utkatasana, parvritta utkatasana and then join me to chant Lokah Samastah Sukhino Bhavantu. Go ahead and try it. Notice the energetic movement in your body, the calm in your mind, and the peace in your heart. About chanting Lokah Samastah Sukhino Bhavantu It means, May all beings everywhere be happy and free and may my thoughts, words, and actions contribute to the happiness and freedom for all. It combats imbalances in your mind and brings harmony to your heart. Chant it anytime, anywhere, as long as you are sitting in an upright position. Chanting is like a form of meditation.
