28 Parrot or the Australian Ringneck, the broad-tailed parrot species Barnardius zonarius, is a bird native to Australia. Except for extreme tropical and highland areas, the species has adapted to all conditions.They are easily recognised by the bright green feathers on the body, black head and bright yellow band of feathers on the back of the neck. They also have blue cheeks and some have yellow on their lower belly and they also known as Yellow-collared Parrots. The 28 Parrot is entirely green; has a red front band and of course the yellow “ringneck” hind collar. The Serpentine Dam is a major water supply dam for Perth, Western Australia. The dam is used to store water that is released at a controlled rate to regulate the level in the Serpentine Pipehead Dam reservoir, which in turn feeds water to the metropolitan trunk main network depending on demand
