The Plight of the Experienced (Anubhāvī) Ma tells us why spiritual masters endure suffering and rejection: • Detachment from the World: The experienced soul is detached from worldly honour, loss, and gain (Maan-Apmaan). They do not seek fame, respect, or personal gain. Their entire being is dedicated to the truth of the scriptures (Shāstra). • A Different Perspective: Their actions, morality, and perspective are entirely different from the average person's, and they are motivated purely by compassion and love. • Historical Examples: Ma cites examples like Jesus, Nanak, Lord Krishna, Lord Rama, and Ramakrishna Paramahansa, noting that they all met with rejection, criticism, and suffering because the people around them were guided by ego and could not understand their state. The Nature of a True Devotee Param Pujya Ma describes the characteristics of a true devotee or experienced soul: • Servant, Not Master: They live to serve and obey the word of God, not to establish their own name or identity. They are described as being *"sold" (bik chuke hote hain) to God's truth and therefore cannot be "buyers" (khareedār) of worldly things like honour. • The Ultimate Request: A devotee does not ask for comfort or happiness.
