This is the best and only chicken taco recipe you will ever need. Juicy crispy chicken with an unlimited amount of topping options you can possibly have, its a win win. A taco lover’s dream Ingredients: ———————— 1.5 lbs chicken breast (cut into strips) 1 tsp garlic powder -1/2 tsp of salt (or to taste) 1 tsp onion powder -1/2 tsp ginger powder 1/2 tsp ground black pepper 1/2 tsp smoked paprika -1/2 tsp chicken bouillon powder 1 tsp chilli powder 1/2 tsp all purpose seasoning 1 tsp chicken bouillon powder (or to taste) 1/4 cup hot sauce 1 1/2 cup buttermilk 1 1/2 cup all purpose flour 2 eggs Small soft flour tortillas or crunchy taco shells (use any of your choice) Topping —————- You can add as much or as little toppings as you want. Cheese, beans, corns, lettuce, whatever. Top it however or with whatever you like. What is listed is just what i used in the video. 1/2 of a lime 2 roma tomatoes (chopped) 1/2 yellow onion (chopped) Small handful of cilantro (chopped) Procedure ——————- Cut washed chicken breast into 1 inch strips Put cut chicken in a bowl and add in your seasoning, hot sauce, and buttermilk. Mix until chicken is thoroughly coated. Cover chicken and allow to marinate in the refrigerator for at least 1-2 hours or overnight After marinating, remove chicken from the fridge and allow to come to room temperature for 15 minutes. (this just helps cut down the cooking time instead of putting cold chicken into hot oil) In a separate plate, beat two eggs. Then combine your flour and seasonings in another plate. Coat chicken in egg mixture, then dredge in the seasoned flour making sure to pack it on nicely to build a nice crust. Shake off excess flour and place coated chicken on a separate plate lined with paper towel (to prevent sticking) or you lay them on a wire rack. Repeat the process until all chicken strips have been coated Over medium high heat , add in 1 inch of cooking oil and allow to heat. Once heated, carefully drop in you chicken pieces and fry for 2-3 minutes each side and golden brown. Adjust cooking time depending on the thickness of your chicken. Do not over crowd the pan. Remove cooked chicken from oil and place on a wire rack or a dish lined with paper towels or absorb excess oil. Add chicken and toppings into you tortilla or taco shell and enjoy! (If you are using tortillas , you can dip them in a mixture of chicken broth and a bit of hot sauce. Then heat then briefly over medium heat before assembling your taco.
