Goofed bigly during a rainy track day on 2/1/2025 at Sonoma Raceway and crashed into a barrier. Luckily the peak impact force was dampened to around 3G from the flexible barrier material and had no injuries. Seemed like the rear end stepped out from a combination of apexing too closely onto the dry line, brushing the brakes mid corner and underestimating the grip change from the water formation on the track. Corner G’s were around half of dry conditions. Thanks to the track marshals, got winched out of the mud afterwards. Handling of the car felt unchanged afterwards but had cosmetic scuffs on the hood, front bumper and fenders. No visible damage to the suspension, subframe and cooling.
