Especially when it’s useful! Well today I am going to tell you about something free that will be very useful when planning and participating in your next outdoor adventure. I love a good hike in the woods. I am always looking for new places to go and am constantly wondering what to expect when I get there. Sometimes on vacation I wonder where some of the good local hikes near me. Then whenever I finish a hike, I wonder how far I went, and try to remember where some good campsites were, and what did that one cool place look like. Well, I found something that provides those answers, and at NO COST. What is it? The GAIA GPS app. I first looked at this app a couple of weeks ago in my Spotlight video of my hike on the Berea Pinnacle Trails (   • Kentucky Hiking Trail:  West Pinnacle and ...  ). Be sure to check that hike out in the link in the card. This served as my first introduction to the Gaia App. I basically learned how to turn it on, and I used it to record the route we took that day. I am a rookie using this app, and by no means an expert. I will however say that the app itself is very user friendly and forgiving. I will throw a link in the card and the Description of a very useful video I watched in preparation for this video. The free version seems to be very useful, and I am sure I will be investing in an upgrade in the near future. When I do, I will most certainly put out a new video of the new features the upgrade will give you. I appreciate you stopping by today to listen to me ramble.
