#streetphotography #filmphotography #newyorkcity In mid December, I went to the east coast to film a client project and decided to make a longer trip out of it. I previously lived in New York for eight years, and love it when I have an excuse to go back. I hired my good friend and fellow cinematographer Jeremy McDaniel to help with the project, and relied on him for transport, a second camera package, and his good company. Because we share an interest in film photography, we took the opportunity to head to the very northern tip of Manhattan to photograph The Little Red Lighthouse, something I didn’t realize existed even after living in Brooklyn for so long. Then we went to The Cloisters, an extension of the Met—something else I had no idea existed until Jeremy told me about it. For the rest of the trip I wandered around my old stomping grounds in Brooklyn, enjoying a lovely snowfall, going to my friends' incredible comedy show at Second City (@Dfor1 ), attending my old company’s annual holiday party that I just happened to be in town for (@halleloocreative ), and treating myself to a solo dinner at Misi, my absolute favorite pasta restaurant.
