In Part 25 of the Firewood Storage Shed Build series, I tackle one of the biggest remaining tasks—building and installing the top shelves. With a 3-day weekend, I put in the time and knock out every step needed to get these shelves done from start to finish. The shelf supports are built from raw 2x Douglas Fir, while the shelving itself comes from leftover 1x Douglas Fir. Along the way, you’ll see the full woodworking process: ripping, planing, routing, staining, and fastening, all to create strong, clean, and functional shelves for storage. Of course, no weekend project is complete without taking care of the doggos, doing some much-needed stretching (with some serious back popping), grabbing a Pup Cup from Starbucks, and staying fueled with lemonade. By the end of this episode, all of the woodworking is complete, bringing us very close to finishing the firewood storage shed.
