Ya’at’ééh! Aaron Tsosie here, the person behind the camera! Today is Day 2 of the Hawaiian-themed Mele Kalikimaka Market & Music Festival — and what an incredible weekend it’s been! Sunday’s headliner was the amazing Eli Mac, closing out the event with an amazing performance that brought everyone together! All weekend long we enjoyed Hawaiian hula, Native American dances, ‘ukulele musicians, island cover bands, reggae artists, and Hawaiian lūʻau-style entertainment. Even though this is a small festival, the atmosphere was full of warmth, culture, and community — I honestly felt a little bit of aloha this weekend and found myself wanting to book a trip back to Hawaiʻi 😄 I’m grateful I was able to film both days of the festival from start to finish and share these moments with all of you. Huge shoutout to everyone who put this event together, especially 808socialEvents, for creating a local space where Pacific Islander and Indigenous cultures can shine side by side. Sunday’s event was 100% free, with free parking, and took place right outside Tim Finnegan’s Irish Restaurant & Pub in Glendale, Arizona. Small, cozy, welcoming — the perfect way to kick off December. Mahalo to all the artists who performed today! • Aito Nehenehe • Phoenix Youth Hoop Dance • Hot Hula Fitness • Makalani Dance Academy • Lokahi • Ashley Diamond • Inna Vision / Kush County • Eli Mac Ahe’hee’ for watching and supporting my work! I hope you enjoy today’s performances as much as I enjoyed capturing them. checkout Saturday's performances in the previously posted video! 🌺🎥 ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 📢 Support My Work 🎯 Help me keep documenting Indigenous events — send a tip via Venmo: @imaarontoasty 💌 Want to support long-term?
