Beautiful, windy Kalbarri & a filthy job cleaning caravan sump pump filter!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Kalbarri and later in Geraldton.😀We did not enjoy the tedious and ridiculous necessity of cleaning our Mountain Trail caravan grey water filter and sump tank 🤬The jewel of Kalbarri is obviously the National Park, with its wildflowers, the famous skywalk, the infamous “Nature’s Window” and the awe inspiring Z Bend lookout. But the town of Kalbarri itself is a great place to stay, nestled on the banks of the Murchison River, with its coffee shops, ice cream parlours and bars and restaurants. We stayed at Kalbarri Anchorage caravan park, a great park just outside the main town itself.From Kalbarri we moved to Geraldton, staying at Sunset Beach Holiday Park. Geraldton was really our first taste of a major city since we left Darwin. Colin and I spent many a happy hour at Bunnings and BCF! Despite the dubious reputation Gerald has on some review sites, we found it clean, pleasant and a place with lots to see and do. We had no security issues whatsoever.The notorious “Roaring 40’s” winds kept us company all through the trip. I don’t think there was a single day when it wasn’t windy! So whilst stocking up on various bits and bobs from Bunnings etc, I was inspired to finally clean the Mountain Trail RV sump filter.
