Morey Amsterdam, the cello-scraping vaudeville comic who co-starred with fellow limelighter Rose Marie on TV's The Dick Van Dyke Show, got in a legal fix when he took credit for a song he didn't write, one that became a chart-topper for the Andrews Sisters. "Rum and Coca Cola" was massive, sitting atop BILLBOARD's Pop survey for 10 consecutive weeks. It was Song of the Year, the 3rd biggest of the decade and America's introduction to calypso music.
