The Ye'kwana are a tribe of Carib origin whom are sailors and live by large rivers in the Alto Orinoco municipality of Venezuela. These recordings were led in 1963 by the famous explorer Charles Brewer-Carías in the Erebato river. This material has been loaned to the New World Symphony in Miami Beach by The Juan Carlos Maldonado Art Collection for the occasion of this concert.
