The Tauranga Rail Scene (ft. DL 9400 and DSG 3087) ~ February 2025 (HD)

Another compilation of KiwiRail’s freight trains in my local area, filmed over the entire month of February. Incidentally, I started noticing a lack of newsprint wagons on more of the Kinleith trains; in other words, I swear more of them were running with only log wagons that usual. Out of the original six DLs (as in, the batch that arrived in November 2010), only two of them are still in service, and we’ll see both of them in this video. The two DLs in question are 9037 and 9066. Also featured is DL 9400; my favourite out of the class members that are still in service. Another notable locomotive to look out for is DSG 3087; one that I’ve been wanting to photograph without a fence in the way for quite a while now. 3087’s normally based in Hamilton, so I’m not sure what she was doing over here.
