The On Cloud 5 was a good shoe, but it had its issues. More specifically, it ran narrow for a lot of feet, picked up rocks often, and had some durability problems. The Cloud 6 has seemed to fix some of those issues, but it's still not foolproof. At the end of the day, I do think the Cloud 6 is a step in the right direction for this shoe line; however, it's not foolproof. I could see these having some issues for exceptionally narrow, low-volume feet, and budget shoppers might not love the long-term durability. Comfort-wise, they're similar to the 5, if not a little more dense with the new forefoot midsole construction but I don't think this will bother most.
