Hang out with us today while we build a new, stronger, bigger pull-up bar! I try to include some good tips in case you want to build one yourself. What you absolutely need: 4-6 bags of concrete (2-3 bags per post) $6ea = $36 6x6 posts (x2) = $80 (*you could get away with a true 4x4 post or 4x6) Bar (Threaded 1”x6’ Galvanized Steel Pipe) = $20 *Pipe is actually just over 1.25” outer diameter. Flange (x2) = $10 Total = $146 Things that would be good to have: Supporting Wood for leveling posts (4 2x4’s about 3-4 feet in length) Wooden stakes Level (1 long and 1 corner level is great) Screws (8x2”) Red Loctite (to secure bar into flanges so it doesn’t twist) *I did not show this step.
