I’m a simple man. I see Normal Zone and a heavily character requested for years, I pull for him. Plus, you can’t go wrong with more OP Strikers than can off-type almost all of the games content. This showcase will focus more on his zone though, simply because I always do this with new zone setters I pull. That being said, Palmer is one of the best units this month, and it’s not even close. Obviously, the NC Kantrio are untouchable (aside from maybe Leaf), but I’d say Palmer is the biggest contender for the fourth best unit this month! I think what makes Palmer as good as he is is the fact that DeNA near perfectly fixes his flaws. Bad gauge thanks to 2 four gauge moves and Zone? He’s got Free Move Next after both sync and max moves, plus Combo Freebie and two Crush Grip MGRs on grid. Crush Grip DPS gets worse the more you attack an opponent? No problem, G(?) Giga Impact, Max Strike and PMUN after anyones sync has got him covered (and sync nuke, but that’s obvious). Palmer has a “Slow Start” with his buffs + applying zone? G Giga Impact needs 5 moves to activate. Take all the time you need! However, they didn’t fix everything about him. His gauge is still bad if you don’t prepare for it, plus he’ll probably have a tough time in LG thanks to him having some difficulty KOing enemies under 50% of their HP. But the pros heavily outweigh the cons at least imo. Though it’s probably not best to get him now, he has much more worth than being a zone setter. Enjoy! —————————————————- 0:00 At last! It’s been 3000 (aka 4) years! (forgot to record candies, sorry) 1:18 The primary reason I pulled for him. YEAH! TACKLE DPS BABY! Jokes aside, I’m so happy Hugh finally has a zone partner, let alone one that’s enables dual strike! I mean, Hugh already dies from recoil, may as well make Head Charge stronger in the process. Plus, seeing Head Smash do as much damage as a sync move was super awesome to see. 3:54 Team Out To Get Milk! Unintentionally made a triple Dad team here, which I think was pretty neat. Normans’s bad grid unfortunately means I either run him as a nuker or chance his survival with Double Edge. Obviously, I took the former route. I also changed Norman’s Lucky Skill to CS2 just to make this clear easier. Kinda wish I used Body Slam on the side to have stronger double edge, but idk if the teams would’ve been able take a Heat Wave so I’m fine with what I saw. Also SLASH DPS! LET’S GOOOOO! 6:23 Cringe Alert! Whitney Detected! Whitney is already an annoying character to me, but top that off with a sync nuke that requires me to use a specific support is just super irritating to me. I got very lucky with Lodge Acerola’s dodges, and I didn’t even use Confuse Ray yet. I almost quick after the Primeape almost lived, but I decided to stay since Max Countdown still saved a turn anyways. I was actually Whitney’s sync did that much, so I’ll compliment her on that. 8:34 Best Boy…but not as good. This is a joke. Don’t actually try this against a non-Kanto Stadium stage. Since I try to use Gladion with almost every zone I figured, why not try him in Normal zone as well for the meme? Yeah, he got carried by Palmer lol. Sync did more than I expected, but that was probably the Tech EX coming in clutch. Kinda wish I don’t skip the sync though, since I bet very few people have seen Normal Silvally sync move. 10:47 Remember when we thought this was the best eggmon? I honestly wanted to do this clear just because of how popular Striker Kangaskhan when eggmons were first released. Not much to say here, but accidentally getting into Power Reservers range for Kanga was nice. 13:10 Do not try this…ever Idk why or how I did this on Kahili’s stage, but I will take it any day of the week. I originally wanted to use NC Serena here, but she was too boring to use due to B Quick Attacks limited uses (it did about 5K btw). So, I used Doubel Edge Pheobe instead. Admittedly not the best clear I’ve done, but I wanted to see how much it would more than anything. In the end, it was just another clear where Palmer just carried. 15:54 By himself (unsurprisingly good). This is the section where I’d speak more about Palmer’s kit, but tbh theirs not much to say. He’s a very linear striker, despite the fact that he’s also a zone setter. His max and B moves give him a lot strategy to his move stage though which I really like. But in the end he’s kinda just a “number go BEEG” unit, at least to me. I actually candied Palmer to fix his gauge, but he actually has very good multipliers that make his damage go to stupid high numbers as you saw earlier (I EXed him because he’s cool I guess, idk). Colress helped took care of Healthy Advantage, along with his Screech spam. 18:12 Grids and lucky skills —————————————————-
