My brother Adam and I ran our first 100-mile ultramarathon at the legendary Hellbender 100 — a brutal mountain ultra in North Carolina with nearly 20,000 feet of climbing. It was our biggest challenge yet… but there is an even bigger one ahead of us this year. We’re signed up for the Bigfoot 200 in August — one of the most demanding 200-mile ultras in the world. Hellbender was our test and our training ground. We figured if we could not finish Hellbender why would we think Bigfoot is possible?
