Hiking to Linville Falls, North Carolina off the Blue Ridge Parkway

This is a short, 1 or 2 mile round-trip hike to the Linville Falls, which are right off of the Blue Ridge Parkway in North Carolina just south of Blowing Rock. My wife and I hiked to Linville Falls as part of our recent Blue Ridge Parkway drive (LINK GOES HERE). The Linville Falls are a part of, and just off of, the Blue Ridge Parkway and are part of the National Park Service. The hike to the upper falls is a very easy 0.5 mile (0.8 km) each way with nice steps and a railing for the only steep part. The upper falls themselves are beautiful with nice rocks to sit on and admire them. After visiting the upper falls, my wife returned to the car while I continued on to a viewpoint over the lower falls. That added about another 0.5 mile (0.8 km) each way to my hike, but it was well worth it. The Linville Falls were spectacular with many flowers blooming along way.
