To add a Ricoh MPC4504ex printer to your network and configure it to print from your laptop, follow these steps: Step 1: Connect the Printer to the Network Power on the Printer: Ensure the printer is plugged in and powered on. Assign IP Address to the Printer: From the printer's control panel, press the "Home" button, then go to "Settings". Navigate to System Settings Interface Settings Network IPv4 Configuration (or IPv6 if applicable). Set the printer to DHCP to automatically get an IP address, or manually assign a static IP if your network requires it. Note down the printer’s IP address for future steps. Ensure the Printer is Connected: Connect the printer to your network via Ethernet cable or configure its Wi-Fi settings. Make sure the printer is successfully connected to the network. Step 2: Install Printer Drivers on the Laptop Download the Printer Drivers: Go to Ricoh’s website and download the appropriate drivers for your laptop's operating system (Windows, macOS, Linux). Install the Drivers: Install the downloaded drivers by following the on-screen instructions. Step 3: Add the Printer on Your Laptop (Windows) Open Settings: Go to Settings Devices Printers & Scanners. Click Add a Printer or Scanner. Search for the Printer: Windows will search for available network printers. When you see the Ricoh MPC4504ex printer, select it and click Add Device. Enter the Printer IP Address (if not automatically found): If the printer doesn’t appear, click The printer that I want isn’t listed. Select Add a printer using a TCP/IP address or hostname. Enter the printer’s IP address noted earlier and complete the wizard. Step 3: Add the Printer on Your Laptop (macOS) Open System Preferences: Go to System Preferences Printers & Scanners. Add the Printer: Click the + button to add a new printer. Choose IP at the top and enter the IP address of the printer. Select the correct Ricoh MPC4504ex driver from the dropdown (it may be automatically detected), then click Add. Step 4: Test Printing Test Print: Open a document on your laptop, go to File Print, and select the Ricoh MPC4504ex printer. Adjust print settings as needed and send the job to the printer. Once you complete these steps, your Ricoh MPC4504ex should be ready to print from your laptop on the network.
