Welcome to the Re-Treat Yourself series! I truly believe that what we as humans need is more mindfulness and learning ways to better connect with the body. Or better, learning ways to Reconnect to the body. Weaving the physical to the emotional, the emotional to the cognitive, the cognitive to the spiritual, and the spirit to the energetic. We are complex beings, and understanding that we are not one single, simple unit. But rather a collection of very intricate and interwoven systems, working in harmony. Particularly during times of self-isolation, making our wellbeing a priority, is pivotal to us progressing and evolving through these hardships as smoothly and effortlessly as possible. "When you can't go outside, go inside". These are some very challenging times for us, as individuals, as a community and as a global collective. Our previous ways of living, have become unsustainable in the modern landscape, and the current health and economic state of society is nothing short of uncertain. We're currently being faced with a choice - to evolve for the better, or to repeat our limiting and patterning behaviours. Choose to use this time, as an opportunity for self growth, awareness and transformation. A time to reflect, and find a sense of calm amidst the chaos. Use this time, to begin doing some of the things you've always wanted to do - Learn to cook, knit, or handstand! Make art, read books, enjoy delicious cups of tea and listen to the birds outside. Come back in to our natural state fo being; simple and meaningful. Use this time to intentionally create a safe haven within yourself. This will be a 10 day FREE series, created with love and passion. 10 days of DAILY content automatically sent to you each morning at 7am, for you to enjoy exploring the inner workings of your own soul. There will be yoga, meditations, mindfulness practices, self massage tutorial, a creative workout and some simple solutions to help you not only pass through the down time, but to channel your energy toward becoming a healthier, happier and more wholesome version of yourself. Myself, my Mum Judy (my Mum is an extraordinary woman, and besides being a daughter, wife and mother of three, she is also a very damn good Psychologist and implements a lot of mindfulness practices in to her teachings and sessions) and another very talented psychologist friend of my Mum, Cassie, have all teamed up to bring you this self-retreat. Together, we are committed to supporting you through this time, and who knows, maybe you will learn something about yourself along the way! So, buckle up. You've just embarked on quite the journey of self discovery and self love. I hope you are keeping safe, healthy and as sane as possible given the current circumstances.
