Community Action Week 2025: San Isidro | Made by Nayana '26 | UWC Costa Rica

Community Action Week allows our community to explore Costa Rica and engage with local communities to generate a positive impact. This year, Nayana '26 from India had the unique task as an Impact & Accountability Manager to showcase her experience in the Santa Cecilia School & the Nursing Home Nuestra Señora de los Ángeles in San Isidro de Heredia. This initiative focuses on meaningful collaboration with rural communities, exploring their rich histories, and learning from their collective knowledge to better understand their realities. By working closely with local rural schools, we foster mutual understanding, cultural exchange, and the opportunity to inspire and empower future generations through shared learning experiences. As part of this effort, students collaborated with Matzú at the Residencia Geriátrica Nuestra Señora de los Ángeles and Escuela Santa Cecilia in San Isidro on various projects aimed at improving their living and studying spaces.
