Lee and I are definitely missing our road trips, however it has been snowing and very cold lately, it defiantly has been nice staying inside and watching my videos from my recliner! 😆! I heard the song "Unchained Melody" and I thought it was perfect for this video. The Whistle Stop in Norquay, Saskatchewan, reminds me that we're due for another bowl of their good Borscht. We went to Norquay for a late lunch last January and stopped in at The Whistle Stop for some of their yummy Russian Borscht. They were even decorated for Valentine's Day, which was perfect. On the way to Norquay, we drove through the countryside, and the trees were so heavy with frost. We stopped in at Rhein to check the Grand Hall and then stopped in Veregin to see the National Doukhobor Heritage Village. We definitely enjoyed the beautiful scenery on our drive to Norquay, where the prairie meets the pine. Norquay is a small community nestled between the upper reaches of Saskatchewan's Parkland region and the northern expanse of forest and wilderness.
