What is a powerlessness wound & how to know if you have one!

When healing trauma, one crucial wound to be aware of is the powerlessness wound. The powerlessness wound is deep pain from our early life that resulted in an unconscious belief that we are powerless. This is because if we experienced trauma in our early life, we were rendered powerless in some form - there was an inescapable circumstance of some kind - and emotions that were too intense to process as children can become trapped in the body. Now, for most people, we know in our conscious mind that we are not powerless - that we can make change in our bodies and our lives. However, if we have an unconscious belief that we are powerless conflicting with the conscious belief that we are powerful, it's probable that we'll experience a lifetime of inner and outer conflict around themes of limitation and feeling trapped. One possible manifestation of that energy is chronic illness and conditions in the body!
