Campus for Hope partners with familiar names in new Las Vegas homelessness effort

A new effort to address homelessness in Las Vegas is leaning on familiar local partners as it prepares to open a 900-bed facility. Campus for Hope CEO Kim Jefferies said the organization is launching its “Request For Partnership” process as it works to bring services onto the campus by teaming up with groups already serving people experiencing homelessness, along with other top providers. “We're bringing in a concept from somewhere else, but we have to make it uniquely for this community, and so making sure that we partner with local organizations already working with people experiencing homelessness, but also best in class in their own to bring services onto the campus,” Jefferies said. The approach is intended to build on existing services rather than replace them, with Campus for Hope describing the facility as an expansion of what is already available in the community.
