This was the second leg of my SFO-SIN-BLR journey on Singapore Airlines. SQ operates three versions of the A350: • Long-haul (for routes like SFO, ADL, SEA) • Regional (for ASEAN and India routes like BKK, CGK, BLR) • Ultra Long Range (ULR) (exclusively for LAX, EWR, JFK) For this 4-hour hop to Bengaluru, I was on the regional variant. My layover was just 55 minutes, and a delay on my incoming flight made it tight, but SQ held connections, allowing us to make the flight. Fortunately, my departure gate was just three gates away from my arrival gate. I was impressed by both the hard and soft product, especially for such a short flight. The seat felt more modern than the A350 I took from SFO, the food was excellent, and they even had three meal choices in economy. Pro tip: You can still request a Singapore Sling, even if it’s not on the menu. As expected, SQ’s signature service didn’t disappoint and the 4-hour flight flew by, thanks to the extensive IFE selection. Final Verdict: A fantastic experience, with great attention to detail—I’d fly SQ again without hesitation.
