The well stocked Chedraui supermarket is located directly opposite the beach access point, which also has parking available if you have a car. This is also a ferry terminal for Ultramar Ferries to/from Isla Mujeres. The signs advertise Cozumel, although the Cozumel schedule is rather seasonal, and availability subject to weather conditions. Please note that in Mexico tipping is not compulsory, and it depends on the level of service received. If you are satisfied with the service, standard rate is 10% up to 15% if the service was exceptional. Do not be fooled by opportunistic staff who requires 20% "tax" to be added to the bill. State taxes are already included in all prices as advertised. Regarding beaches, all beaches are Federal zones which means that it is freely accessible to the public. Hotel employees may not restrict you from using any beaches.
