Pierrette is a young, widowed mother of five, and an entrepreneur capitalizing on Moringa oleifera: a nutrient-dense, fast-growing tree that has been steadily gaining recognition on a global scale. She and her social enterprise Plantes Aromatiques des Collines (PAC) are working to create a supply chain connecting disadvantaged women with the vast economic opportunity presented by Moringa. In the midst of impoverished West Africa, this initiative promises to create thousands of sustainable livelihoods and improve the health and well-being of the continent’s most underprivileged women and children.
