December is the middle of our cool-season gardening here in Florida, and even though the days are short and growth is slow, this is still an amazing month to plant, replant, and keep your garden going strong. In this video, I’ll walk you through exactly what to plant in December in North, Central, and South Florida, along with some real-life wins and struggles from my own garden this month. We’ll talk about how low sunlight hours, dry weather, and cool nights affect plant growth, and what to do if you’re dealing with germination issues, slow seedlings, or critters stealing your veggies. December is also the perfect time for mid-season seed starting and filling in empty spots from earlier in the season.
