Annual Network Meeting 2025 for the Central Asia and the Caucasus Network

Background In 2025, the CBIT-GSP Regional Network for Central Asia and the Caucasus benefited from various capacity-building interventions for transparency, including regional and in-country trainings, webinars, learning sessions, and experience-sharing meetings. In 2025, the CBIT-GSP delivered a total of 26 support activities to the countries of Central Asia and the Caucasus. These efforts encompassed a diverse mix of interventions, including 10 regional events focused on capacity building, experience sharing, networking, and outreach; 8 in-country support activities providing tailored technical assistance; and 8 quality reviews aimed at enhancing the accuracy and completeness of countries’ transparency reporting. Together, these activities reflect the programme’s continued commitment to strengthening national and regional capacities under the Enhanced Transparency Framework. This meeting serves for countries to reflect on the support provided, draw lessons learned and discuss support activities for 2026, taking into account countries’ priorities and needs. Objective The primary objective of the meeting is to reflect on the CBIT-GSP support in 2025, the key achievements and lessons learned for the Regional Network of Central Asia and the Caucasus and discuss CBIT-GSP support plan for the network in 2026. Network members are expected to share their lessons learned from CBIT-GSP support, provide feedback on its effectiveness, and suggest areas for improvement to enhance future interventions.
