Paul reminds us that thankfulness is not just a feeling — it is a practice rooted in our identity as God’s chosen people. We are called to “clothe ourselves” with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience. These virtues aren’t automatic; they are intentional. And woven throughout this passage is a repeated instruction: be thankful. Gratitude is mentioned more than once because it shapes everything. It influences how we speak, how we forgive, how we worship, and how we live.
