Ploughs Return to Eastriggs with Swietelsky Class 37 and Colas Class 56 plus other trains at Carlisle, River Esk and Quintinshill. 06 May 25 Spring is here and the pair of snow ploughs recently based in Inverness have made the two-day trip to Rail Sidings Limited at Eastriggs where they'll receive maintenance and be stored until the coming Winter! Between the ploughs were Swietelsky 37405 in its Orange livery and Colas 56049 Robin of Templecombe (largely being hauled except for the run from Eastriggs light to Kingmoor Up Loop). We see the shunting and parking of the ploughs and then the light engines at Gretna Green and Quintinshill. On my way to Eastriggs I stopped of at Metal Bridge where the M6 and the West Coast Main Line cross the River Esk. Some lovely light and reflections so no apology really for filming there despite the traffic noise - which I've tried to largely mute. We see a few other trains at Quintinshill and more at Carlisle's Citadel station. The times shown on clips are for guidance only and shouldn't be taken as definitive.
