This is flight 10 of 24 from my recent trip where I flew around the Caribbean. In January, I set out to fly to as many places in the Caribbean as possible, and after 12 days, 13 airlines, 24 flights, and over 10,000 miles, I landed back in Kansas City, Missouri after visiting 14 different countries & territories. First, the captain of this flight was Winair's chief pilot for their Twin Otter fleet. You can even hear him say "so tomorrow I'm back in the office" as I board. My understanding was that he wasn't originally supposed to fly on this particular day, but because the winds had been so unusual around Saba that whole day, he operated this flight because.... Well, frankly because he had the most experience and was the person most likely to be able to actually get the flight into Saba given the winds at the time. If you watched my previous video where we flew into Saba early in the day, the Captain on that flight explained to everyone before departure that the winds were crazy and he honestly didn't know if we'd be able to land or not, but he'd give it one shot. So that's cool, but also... The gentleman you can see boarding ahead of me was actually the First Officer's father and he was taking the flight specifically to fly with his son. That's awesome by itself, but when chatting with him after the flight I mentioned that the flight would be on YouTube if he or his son wanted to watch it again later. He mentioned that to his son and then through the continued conversation between us all, we realized that both the Captain and First Officer were already subscribers of the channel! Which was super cool and they both were excited that this flight was going to be posted!
