Nursing School Roadmap (AA / Dual Enrollment Student) 1. Complete Nursing Prerequisites A&P I & II, Microbiology, Psychology, Human Growth & Development, English Composition, Algebra/Statistics, sometimes Nutrition. Aim for a strong GPA (3.5+) especially in science courses. 2. Take the TEAS Exam Tests Reading, Math, Science, and English. Study 2–3 months and aim for a 70–85%+ score 3. Choose a Nursing Path ASN/ADN (Community College)– ~2 years, faster and lower cost. BSN (University) – ~2–3 years, often preferred by hospitals. Many students apply to both to increase chances. 4. Apply to Nursing Programs Submit transcripts, TEAS score, and applications. Apply 6–12 months before program start 5. Complete Nursing School Includes coursework, labs, and hospital clinical rotations. ASN ≈ 2 years | BSN ≈ 2–3 years. 6. Pass the NCLEX-RN After graduating, pass the NCLEX to become a Registered Nurse (RN) 7. Start Your Nursing Career Work in hospitals, clinics, ER, pediatrics, ICU, or community health.
