Weekend at Hurunui Hut, Kaimai Range, Waikato

I stayed in Hurunui Hut for a couple of nights with a couple of friends. We parked along Old Kaimai Road, then hiked in via the Henderson Tramline Loop Track, stayed a couple of nights, then hiked back out the same way without doing the loop. Didn't do much filming, just relaxed. We cut up a dead tree we found, made a fire, I went for a cold bath in a stream, and we found some native freshwater crayfish (koura). I didn't film at all on the last day when we hiked out, because we were hiking through a storm. The Hurunui Hut is a hut located on the North-South Track in the southern end of the Kaimai Mamaku Conservation Park, in the Waikato region (New Zealand). It's a small, basic hut with only 4 bunk beds. Be careful on wet days because the track can get muddy and slippery in places. I'm a singer, songwriter and guitarist from Hamilton, New Zealand. My videos are a mix of music, and hiking the outdoors. Ceolskog is my folk metal / heavy metal / country rock (and some other genres) band.
