Intercultural Relations Exchange between the UAE and Japan | Riwaq Al Fikr – ADMAF Talks

The latest edition of Riwaq Al Fikr – ADMAF Talks, titled Intercultural Communication Between the UAE and Japan, held in partnership with the Anwar Gargash Diplomatic Academy, explored over 50 years of friendship between the UAE and Japan through an inspiring discussion on cultural diplomacy and collaboration. The session featured H.E. Shihab Ahmed Al Faheem, Ambassador of the UAE to Japan, H.E. Ken Okaniwa, Ambassador of Japan to the UAE, and H.E. Nickolay E. Mladenov, Director General at AGDA. The evening also featured musical performances by Mai Taniguchi, Japanese Koto player, and Shamsa Al Jasmi, Emirati Oud player, symbolising harmony through the universal language of music. Marking over 50 years of friendship and bilateral relations, the discussion explored how cultural diplomacy and knowledge exchange can strengthen the UAE–Japan partnership and opportunities for future collaboration through institutional partnerships and cultural dialogue.
