This hymn tune called "Angel Voices" was composed by Edwin George Monk, who lived from 1819-1900. The text that is set to is was written by Francis Pott (1832-1909). The hymn is commonly found in the Presbyterian or Episcopal Church hymn books. The first verse is: Angel voices, ever singing Round Thy throne of light, Angel harps, for ever ringing, Rest not day nor night; Thousands only live to bless Thee, And confess Thee Lord of might. Played on a Dominion reed organ, made in Bowmanville Ontario 135 years ago from this time of the recording - January 1881. The organ has just finished an internal restoration after many years of silence. It belongs to the Moore Museum in Mooretown, Ontario.
