Flip through “DENIM” softcover junk journal

Junk journal “Denim” is approximately 25 x 17 x 8 cm. (9,5 x 6.7 x 3.1 inch) This chunky journal has a trifold fabric softcover. The outside cover is crochet lace fabric with a denim pocket, embellished with a denim, burlap trim, vintage Mother of pearl buttons, a brass metal nameplate and brass metal embellishments hand stitched with embroidery floss. It closes with a brass metal hand charm and burlap twine that has vintage Mother of pearl buttons strung on it and wraps around the journal. Denim fabric on the inside cover with crochet lace and embellished with a bronze metal safety pin with a mixed media cluster. It has in total 252 pages (3 signatures) and 3 page tabs with a bulb pin with vintage mother of pearl buttons as a charm. The journal has a vintage/grungy look and feel with with lots of texture and layering. I used many different types of paper for the pages, such as coffee dyed paper with distressed edges, color book pages, vintage glassine, vellum, antique atlas pages, antique music sheets, different types of handmade Mulberry paper, antique Cinnabar rice paper, pages from vintage art books, air mail paper and envelope, and much more. The journal has a large pocket on the inside of the back cover. Although the journal is heavily embellished with mixed media artwork, clusters and antique papers, there is lots of space for journaling. Throughout the journal there are bellybands and pockets filled with ephemera (antique newspaper, vintage and antique memory game cards, coffee dyed journal cards, antique book pages and a Dutch first day of issue cover (FDC) with postal stamp 3 april 1984.
