Sharing with you in my first video, a delectable recipe of Khova Naan. This is a puff pastry filled with a type of sweetended Ricotta. Below is the List of Ingredients: 1. Maida (All Purpose Flour) ------ 100 gms 2. Rice Flour ----- 50 gms 3. Elaichi Powder (Cardamom) ------ 1 Pinch (Just for Fragrance) 4. Dalda (Hydrogenated Vegetable Oil) ----- 50 gms 5. Sugar ----- 50 gms 6. Badam (Almond) and Kaaju (Cashew) ----- 50 gms (Small Pieces) 7. Khova ---- 100 gms 8. Milk ----- 100 ml 9. Vegetable Oil - 50 ml Preparation Method: 1. Mix Maida with Dalda (25gms) and Milk, Knead it well with a little oil. 2. Cover the kneaded dough with the cotton cloth and set it aside for 30 minutes. 3. To make the Khova Filling, heat the Khova in pan, once it starts to soften add sugar and keep stirring. Once the mixture melts, add Elaichi powder and Almond and Cashew pieces. 4. Once completely melted, take the mixture off the stove and keep it aside to cool. 5. Divide the kneaded dough into small portions (4 portions are needed for making 1 Naan). 6. Roll the small dough portion into a roti/disc shape. 7. Mix Rice Flour and Dalda (25gms) apply on the surface of the Roti/Disc, repeat the process and place the 4 Rotis/Discs on top of each other. 8. Roll the pile of Rotis/Discs and cut them into smaller portions. 9. Roll the small portions very gently in form Roti/Discs. 10. Spread the Khova Fillling on top of the Roti/Disc, cover it with another Roti/Disc and Pinch together the borders to seal the Rotis/Discs and prevent the filling from leaking. 11. Pre-heat the Oven at 160 C for 10 minutes. 12. Grease the baking tray, place the Naans on it. 13. Brush the Naan with vegetable oil and place the tray in the Oven. 14. Bake the Naan for 15 - 20 minutes (Watch it) until it turns to light brown. 15. Cut them into 4 or six pieces like a pizza and serve.
