Welcome to subscribe to【YANG Family in LA 】and support our growing YouTube channel: / @layangfamily With over 150 species of roses and thousands of hybrids, roses can be found in nearly every color and a variety of shapes. So a lot of people like to propagate their favorite rose plants. Many people tried to develop and share their different ways to propagate rose plants. Of all the rose propagation ways, rose cutting propagation is the most popular and relative easy way to grow your own rose plants. But actually rose cutting propagation is NOT so easy as you expected since a lot of factors can affect your success, so that's why you can find tons of videos posted on Youtube in which they shared their own experiences. In this video I am also trying to develop a easy and efficient way which really works on my hands to propagate rose plants. To be honest, most of my experiments finally failed because of multi reasons mostly including, but not limited to, bacteria/fungus infection (cutting stem turned black color), moisture handling (bottom of rose cutting rotted) and only callus formation but no root development etc. One thing I really really want to mention here is that I can easily get lots of new shoots from leaf buds, they look fantastic and gorgeous, but finally I CAN NOT get roots from most of these stems. So please DO NOT be FOOLED by new leaf growth, in most cases it means NOTHING based on my experience especially for new gardeners, pleases remember the point is you need to see ROOTS! So if any videos just show you beautiful new growth but not root development, it might be a failed experiment at the end since rose cuttings very easily develop new leaf growth from leaf buds by extracting energy from the stems. In this experiment we compared two commercially available rooting hormone (powder and gel) and natural banana. After 10-week long observation and waiting, we finally got some results and conclusions for the propagation of rose cuttings. Even though the final result is not so successful but I really learned a lot from this experiment, which is very helpful for later rose cutting propagation setup. Finally thanks a lot for many friends' patience and comments. Any suggestion and comments are welcome to share. #RootingRoseCuttings月季玫瑰扦插生根 #RosePropagation月季玫瑰繁殖 #RootingHormoneCompetition生根剂比拼大竞赛
