Cold and Wind are my two least favorite things to run in. The wind chill today was rough, probably in the upper 20's, but this was one of those runs you don’t skip. I had 8 miles on the plan, with a 2-mile hill workout right in the middle, and I’m using an upcoming 10K race as a tempo run. Not ideal conditions, not ideal vibes—but that’s kind of the point. Nobody trains in perfect weather all the time. These are the days that actually move the needle. You start cold, complain a little, and somewhere along the way you realize you’re stronger than you thought. If you’re out there training and dealing with the same stuff—cold, wind, zero motivation—this is your reminder that you’re not alone. Just get out the door.
