In this mini vlog, I take you on a full walkthrough of all four zones, which begins with the end of a rainbow and finishes with a glowing arc installation, all with dramatic dry ice effects, and atmospheric sound design that transformed Southport’s seafront into something that felt almost sci-fi. This finale large-scale light installation in Southport created a giant illuminated circular rainbow structure that many people compared to a “Stargate”, complete with smoke and otherworldly lighting. The event was completely free and attracted families, visitors and photographers from across Merseyside and the North West. Lightport marks the beginning of an exciting cultural year for Southport in 2026, with more arts, music, and community events planned throughout the year.
