Hello and thanks for watching as it seems you need some help beating the The Leviathan. Don't you worry your little head off as The Boys and I have got you covered. First thing to point out is the Leviathan lore wise could be the biggest boss in the game next to the final boss seeing as we can't see it's body only it's head. So we don't know if it's standing, sitting, kneeling or on all 4's all we know is it's very big. The Leviathan is a size 2 boss with 2 death armor tokens, 5 SPD and 155 HP. Leviathan's resistances are Bleed 60%, Blight/Burn at 40% and Debuff at 30%. Stun resistance is at 200% so don't even bother trying to stun Leviathan it won't work. Something to note is that nearly all of Leviathan's attacks ignore dodge and blind except Tidal Surge so a dodge team won't work in this fight. The gimmick of The Leviathan is to summon it's hand and mark target's with Call of the Deep tokens so it's hand can attack them or kidnap one of them. Leviathan's Hand size 2, 4 SPD, 24 HP and can respawn infinitely every time Leviathan uses Deep Rising so it's best not to waste time killing it over and over again. Hand's resistances Bleed/Blight/Burn 40%, Debuff 10%, Stun 200% and can attack twice per turn. One thing to note is that both Leviathan and Leviathan's Hand have a permanent effect where their locked in place and can't be moved. There are trinkets that deal bonus damage to enemies that have this effect. So who are the best hero's for this fight? For starters you need someone with a Bodyguard skill so I would recommend Man at Arms or Templar Crusader as both of these hero's have a bodyguard skill that can help protect one of the other hero's marked with a Call of the Deep token. Not only that both of these hero's are excellent damage dealers and can contribute a lot in this fight with stress healing and drawing damage away from others with taunt tokens. Highwayman is perfect for this fight as he'll be sitting in rank 4 the entire fight thanks to his Sharpshooter path that's specializes in range combat and attacking targets that are sitting in ranks 2-4. If by any chance that Highwayman is pulled forward you can just use Double Tap to retreat back 1 rank. If Highwayman gets a blind token from Leviathan then you can clear it with Take Aim, which will remove the blind token and give you a CRT token. Flagellant is really good as a front liner thanks to his Punish and Acid Rain skills both dealing Blight damage along with MORE MORE being a good self healing skill. Plague Doctor with her Alchemist path both her Noxious Blast and Plague Grenades have a 33% Blight piercing effect and with only 40% Blight resistance, Leviathan should get Blighted every time unless you hard low roll. Another skill you want is Indiscriminate Science as with this upgraded it can remove all debuffs tokens off 1 hero and covert them into healing and Leviathan can spread both Blind and Vulnerable tokens to everyone on the team. Hellion for her Iron Swan skill that can reach rank 4 Man at Arms on his Sergeant path his Stand Fast skill grants movement resistance buffs for 3 turns There are two Inn items that are a must have for this fight; the first being Steak and Spuds you want 4 of these as this item grants a 10% movement resistance buff for the entire region. The second Inn item you want is Ceremonial Drum as this item grants a 40% movement resistance buff for the entire region for 1 hero. After that you want to find as many trinkets that grant movement resistance buffs as possible and give them to the hero's that will be fighting up front. Things to avoid in this fight Don't bother with either dodge or bleed teams as most of Leviathan's attacks ignore dodge/blind and his Bleed resistance is 60% so bleed won't stick most of the time. Things to do that will help you get set up Give everyone Steak and Spuds and Ceremonial Drum for a 50% movement resistance buff Give everyone Clotting Poultice for a 25% Bleed resistance buff as bleeding is very common in this region Use Clotting Powders for easy stress healing Almanac: The Shroud grants a 15% damage buff Ending notes Leviathan is the best boss to fight for chapter 4 as this boss drops the most OP trinket in the game called Sodden Sweater. This trinket is MANDATORY for that fight and if you don't get it then go to the Inn and end the run no questions asked. #darkestdungeon #redhook #darkestdungeon2
