The Honourable Leo McLeay was the Member for Grayndler from 23 June 1979 to 13 March 1993 then was elected as the new Member for Watson until 2004. Prior to being elected as Speaker, McLeay was the Deputy Speaker. Before politics McLeay worked as a telephone technician.
