PCBWay 3D Printing Service - https://pcbway.com/g/7Mb2rj In this video I'm walking you through the steps I took to make a standalone version of my pellet level monitoring sensor that is not directly connected to Home Assistant but it functions separately . To get the data online, I used the Arduino Cloud service so that I can then also use the IoT Remote app from Arduino to get the data from the sensor anywhere that I want. Besides on the software part, I had to design an enclosure for the sensor and 3D print it so that the sensor can be easily mounted on the lid of the pellet stove storage tank and I had to design an enclosure for the NodeMCU to be mounted separately so that th metal tank does not obstruct the WiFi signal.
