In this talk, Edward Kakooza from Walimu shares the Ugandan Ministry of Health's bold vision for transforming tuberculosis (TB) care using technologies already in place: the national eCHIS (Electronic Community Health Information System) and the Lab Management Information System. In 2022, Uganda reported 16,000 missed cases of TB, with the Covid-19 pandemic disrupting healthcare services and leading to more deaths. Now, Uganda is using open-source tools to improve TB awareness, screening, and testing, and ensure that data flows smoothly from labs to communities. This presentation highlights how digital health isn’t about reinventing the wheel, it’s about weaving together what’s already working. 💡 Are you in digital health, public health, lab systems, or TB control? Comment your thoughts, and share how your country is using similar technologies. We’d love to learn from you! 📅 Want to be the first to hear stories like this?
