I was blown away by the dark tone of Daredevil's first season on Netflix and wished Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. had joined that grittier lineup. Iron Fist could have used a slightly darker edge to balance Danny Rand's lighter side, while Jessica Jones excelled with its cerebral dive into a powered serial killer's mind. Luke Cage captured the essence of a comic book perfectly in TV format and ranks high for me, behind only Daredevil, with Jessica Jones close behind and Iron Fist last. Mike Colter recently confirmed ongoing talks with Marvel about reprising Luke Cage, possibly appearing in Daredevil: Born Again alongside Krysten Ritter and Finn Jones.
