Lindoso. This village is a charming surprise in northern Portugal.

We continue our journey through the northern half of Portugal. Today we first visit Chaves, a thermal city from the time of the Roman Empire on the banks of the River Támega. We walk along the river bank to the Trajan Bridge and then visit the impressive Roman thermal baths, very well preserved and still filled with thermal water. We head to the Praça de Camoes, surrounded by beautiful buildings such as the Palace of the Dukes of Braganza, the Church of Santa Maria Maior or the palace that is today the seat of the municipal chamber. Next to it we find on a beautiful garden the castle, of which still survives the Homenaje Tower. After placing in video our visit in the great letters of Chaves, who presides over the beautiful Praça General Silveira, we ended the visit at the gates of the Fort of San Francisco, today reconverted into a hotel. On the way to Ponte de Lima, we make a quick visit to Montalegre, crowned by a castle, strategically located at almost a thousand meters in the heart of the Peneda Gerês Natural Park. We finish in Lindoso, a small village that contains a great surprise, 64 of the so-called Espigueiros, similar to the Galician horreo, a safe way of storing the cereal, away from the moisture and rodents. In Lindoso next to this curious crowd, we find the castle, a frequent place of struggles between Spaniards and Portuguese, separated only by the natural border formed by the Limia River.
