Riding to Opuwo, Namibia Ep.15 - XR600R Africa Dual Sport Adventure 2022

In this video we ride to Opuwo, Namibia home to the exotic Himba Tribe. Another long red dirt road with some incredible highlights, and one lowlight. First a flat tire to keep our lofty spirits in check then giraffes, elephants and even a Genet.. probably dead or hopefully just sleeping! ;) Opuwo is the quintessential African town. Tribalism meets modern shopping centers. The Himba tribe has a large presence here and their exotic looks come from their hair styles, leather clothing and the mineral pigment they put their skin for a natural sunscreen that gives them a red earthy complexion. We navigated the streets to Opuwo County Lodge dodging a ton of threatening dogs, but the camping oasis on top of the hill was worth the effort. We hope you enjoy following along on the journey!
