Kiritsuke knife with a 243 mm long blade (measured from tip to heel) Blacksmith: Satoshi Nakagawa Sharpener: Morihiro san Steel: Aogami#1 with iron clad (Not stainless) Weight: 268 grams Spine thickness root: 3,5 mm Spine thickness mid: 2,5 Blade height heel: 50 mm The handle is octagonal, made of ebony. A very special knife made by Nakagawa san, one of the most skilled blacksmiths in Sakai, Japan. After working for 16 years as a blacksmith for Shiraki, Nakagawa has now become independent. He has certainly taken the knife world by storm and he is a very popular blacksmith. He forges his blades according to classic Japanese forging techniques and the blade is of the highest imaginable quality. In this knife, the carbon steel aogami#1 is used, which takes a scary sharp edge. It has a pleasant weight and fits like a glove in the hand. The edge itself is very thin and the knife cuts fantastically well. Disclaimer: Japanese knives have thin edges with high hardness. This makes them much more fragile than traditional european knives. These blades should under no circumstances be subject to twisting, prising or cutting into hard objects. Such handling could easily cause damage to the edge, something that is not valid grounds for a warranty claim. Find it here and learn more: Swedish customers: https://www.cleancut.se/butik/knivser...
